Georgia Military Affairs Coordinating Committee (GMACC)

The Georgia Chamber is proud to support Georgia’s military installations through the Georgia Military Affairs Coordinating Committee (GMACC). Bases located throughout the state serve as both pillars of our national security and vital components of our economy. Founded in 1994 as a partnership between the Georgia Chamber and the Governor’s Office, GMACC serves to support military communities and their significant contributions to Georgia’s economy – past, present, and future.
Mission
To better serve Georgia’s military installations and improve their quality of life, GMACC works to:
- Utilize all available resources to protect these important facilities during Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) and enhance their military operations
- Provide effective solutions to create and foster long-term economic development strategies in the cities and regions supporting military bases
- Engage state and federal officials, industry leaders and key stakeholders and provide essential tools to understand the public and private sector needs of Georgia’s military communities
- Expand the development of Georgia’s defense industries
