Georgia Chamber Creates State PAC
As part of its continued efforts to support the state's business community, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce has created a new state political action committee. The PAC was registered with the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission earlier this month.
The state PAC is one of several new resources the Chamber has recently put into place, including an independent expenditure committee, used for the first time in the 2010 statewide judicial runoff elections, and a newly hired Vice President of Federal Affairs. The Chamber also released its first true legislative scorecard this spring, through which Georgians can see how their elected officials supported Chamber-backed initiatives during the 2011 legislative session.
