The ability to move goods freely and quickly through our state can have an enormous economic impact on the businesses of our state. As a geographical point of entry and exit of the country via shipping routes, Georgia is poised to become a true logistics center for commerce from all over the country.
However, efforts must be made to increase the usability of our transportation system for those wishing to move goods through the state, while economically benefiting all Georgia citizens.
Keeping these goals in mind, the Chamber supports developing a dedicated logistics corridor between Savannah, Macon, Atlanta and beyond to streamline the travel between these key commerce centers.
In addition, the Chamber understands the economic impact of Hartsfield-Jackson Airport and supports the expansion of international routes from Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.
