I am honored to be the new president and CEO of the Georgia Chamber.
As a former economic developer, public servant and local chamber president, I have long admired this organization and have seen first hand the impact this membership has had on our state. When the Georgia Chamber speaks, our elected leaders listen – because they know that we carry the message of Georgia’s statewide business community.
Over the next few months, I will be meeting with and listening to members from every area of this state and representing every industry. I want to hear your ideas, understand your needs, and make sure we are meeting your expectations.
We will also be developing our legislative agenda for the 2011 session. With new leaders at nearly every level of government, we will be working even harder to make sure that the voice of the business community is heard. We will also focus on how the Georgia Chamber can better represent Georgia business needs in Washington.
