D.C. Fly-In | Washington, D.C. September 14, 2010 We have expanded this yearly event to include a behind-the-scenes look at the Capitol, a luncheon and legislative briefings in addition to our annual reception. Attendees are invited to participate in the following events throughout the day:
U.S. Capitol Tour: This guided tour is optional and will include the new Capitol Visitors Center. Space is limited.
Luncheon featuring John Ashford: (Hart Senate Office Building) Ashford is Chairman and CEO of The Hawthorn Group, L.C., a political communications firm specializing in crisis, legislative, media, customer and financial communications. He will share a political insider's perspective on the November elections.
Legislative Briefing: (Rayburn House Office Building) Representatives from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and The Heritage Foundation will share news from Capitol Hill and information regarding tort reform trends and perspectives on job creation and economic recovery.
Congressional and Staff Appreciation Reception: (Russell Senate Office Building) This annual event honors Georgia's Congressional delegation and their staff members - and allows you to meet the people who work on your behalf every day!

State of the Ports Address | Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center September 17, 2010 The Georgia Chamber and the Georgia Ports Authority are hosting the second annual "State of the Ports" luncheon on September 17 at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. Registration will open at 11:30 a.m. and the luncheon will start at 12 noon.
This event, which takes place the day after the annual State of the Ports in Savannah, will educate attendees about the importance and economic impact of Georgia's deepwater ports, which are a crucial component to international commerce for our state and the entire nation. Curtis Foltz, Executive Director, Georgia Ports Authority, will provide a year-in-review of the Georgia Ports and insight as to how the ports benefit our entire state.

Judicial Candidates Forum | Sutherland, Asbill & Brennan's Elbert P. Tuttle Courtroom September 23, 2010 Hear firsthand from the Court of Appeals and Supreme Court candidates running for competitive seats in November. As business depends almost daily on decisions made by these two panels of judges, it is important for all Georgia Chambers to pay attention and make an informed decision this fall.
