Small Business Owners:  Are You Prepared for an Emergency?
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, more than 50% of businesses struck by environmental or man-made disasters will fail within in the next two years. Does your small to medium-sized business have a response plan in place in the event of a fire or flood? With the welfare of our state's small business community in mind, the Georgia Chamber encourages periodically reviewing the emergency protocols (or lack thereof) in place for dealing with an unforeseen disaster. It's now easier than ever before to review outdated contingency plans or create new ones thanks to the free "Ready Your Business Guide" - just released by the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) in celebration of National Preparedness Month. Click here to download a copy of this free guide and ensure your business has all the tools at hand to successfully deal in the event of disaster.
