Georgia Chamber and Georgia Associated Press to Co-Sponsor Gubernatorial Forum in June The Georgia Chamber of Commerce is co-sponsoring a gubernatorial candidates forum with the Georgia Press Association on Thursday, June 17 at the Jekyll Island Convention Center. Georgia Chamber members are invited to attend the forum, which will begin at 1:00 p.m. and be moderated by Georgia Press Association Legal Counsel David Hudson.
This forum is a chance to get information directly from the candidates about issues that affect business every day. Please reply to communications@gachamber.com to confirm your attendance or for more information.
Scott Rasmussen Announced as Congressional Luncheon Speaker Nationally-known public opinion pollster Scott Rasmussen will be the featured speaker for the Georgia Chamber's annual Congressional Luncheon, to be held on August 17 at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter in Perry.
Rasmussen is the president and CEO of Rasmussen Reports, a media company renowned for its independent polls regarding political races, the economy and other current events. The company has been acknowledged as having an "unchallenged record for integrity and accuracy" and the polls and reports are not influenced by any special interest group or individual.
Rasmussen has authored numerous columns that have appeared in national publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Investor's Business Daily, The Washington Post and USA Today. He is also the author of "In Search of Self-Governance" and has appeared as a program guest on FOX News, CNBC, and BBC networks.

Mark Your Calendars for the Business Champions Golf Classic The Georgia Chamber Business Champions Golf Classic will be held on October 4 at the Golf Club of Georgia in Alpharetta. Golfers will have the choice of playing on one of two renowned and pristine 18-hole golf courses, and all golfers will receive a fore-caddy, cart, a continental breakfast, practice facility/range balls, lunch, and awards reception.
Team levels start with the foresome level, which includes all amenities listed above. Silver, Gold and Platinum sponsors will receive their company logo placed throughout the tournament and special recognition in the programs and at the awards presentation. Companies are also encouraged to consider joining the event as a cart or special contest sponsor.
