Tax Reform Council Continues Work The Special Council on Tax Reform and Fairness for Georgians continues its work, completing seven fact-finding sessions around the state and holding its third official meeting last week. State Revenue Numbers Rise in August Year-over-year state revenue collections were up for the third consecutive month, according to numbers released by the Governor's Office last week. For the 2011 fiscal year, which began on July 1, revenues are up 8.6 percent over the same period last year.
