This year’s survey was designed to assist Georgia Chamber investors and pro-business Georgians make the most informed decision possible when voting on their elected officials.
“With job creation and economic development continuing to be the top priority for Georgians heading into the 2012 election season, it is very important that voters can easily recognize candidates who are committed to strengthening the state’s business community,” said Georgia Chamber President and CEO Chris Clark. “Our survey covers a broad range of economic development issues that our investors feel are critical to help businesses of all types succeed in the global marketplace, and in looking at the responses, we feel we have a number of qualified candidates seeking office in 2012 that are committed to bringing jobs and investment to Georgia.”
Candidates were asked to respond to questions about key business issues including economic development, education, legal and regulatory reforms, transportation, and tax policy. The Chamber sent the survey to all qualified candidates running for state legislative and congressional office, and for those who responded, their answers have been published as submitted.
