Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education Public Form: May 1

The next Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education public forum will have a strong business focus. State Farm's CEO Ed Rust, co-chair for the national Business Coalition for Student Achievement, will be joined by Georgia business leaders and with State School Superintendent John Barge to bring the discussion closer to home by addressing questions such as: How is Georgia’s new College and Career Readiness Performance Index addressing graduation rates? And How do Georgia’s NCLB waiver and the Race to the Top efforts align with the workforce oriented Go Build Georgia, Complete College Georgia, and the Competitiveness Initiative? Art Hopkins, President and CEO of Macquarium Intelligent Communications, will moderate the discussion. The Forum is free and will be heldTuesday, May 1, at 10 AM.
