Georgia Department of Labor's Health, Safety & Environmental Conference

U.S. Appeals Court in Atlanta Rules Against Federal Health Care Law

U.S. appeals court in Atlanta has ruled that last year's mandate on Americans to carry health insurance is unconstitutional. In a 2 to 1 vote, the majority agreed Congress overreached when it required most Americans to carry insurance or pay a penalty. Read more on the ruling here.

2011 Webinar Series: Upcoming Events

The Georgia Chamber, in conjunction with its Small Business Advisory Council, has launched a webinar series focused on topics pertinent to our members.  These one-hour webinars provide members across the state the opportunity to take advantage of the Georgia Chamber's educational resources as part of their membership investment. The 2011 Georgia Chamber Business Champions Classic Golf Tournament will be held on October 3 at The Golf Club of Georgia in Alpharetta. The 2011 tournament will include time at the practice range, a shotgun start, forecaddies, lunch, mini-contests on the course, a closing cocktail reception and an awards ceremony. Georgia Work Ready to Hold Soft Skills Town Halls

Governor Deal has authorized Georgia Work Ready to host a series of statewide town hall meetings to allow stakeholders to give input on the benefits of soft skills.
