The Georgia Chamber urges Congress to repeal the proposed 3% Federal Withholding Tax

Beginning January 1, 2013 the IRS is planning to require federal, state, and local governments to withhold 3% of their payments for goods and services provided by private businesses.  During these tough economic times, businesses – particularly small businesses – cannot afford to have government withhold 3%.  To help repeal this burdensome new policy, The Georgia Chamber has pledged to work with our Congressional delegation to stop this law from taking effect in 2013.

The Chamber recently signed the national petition letter to Congress to repeal the federal 3% withholding tax.  To learn more information on this issue and instructions on signing the letter please click HERE for the U.S. Chamber’s website.
