Help Support Waycross Fire Responders fighting Okefenokee Swamp Fires
Our partners at the Waycross-Ware County Chamber of Commerce are coordinating aid for the local firefighters battling several blazes in the Okefenokee Swamp.
Here are the major items they need at this time:
They also need donations of food for the firefighters – people have brought in sandwiches, pizza, etc. but the Georgia Forestry Office is also taking donations of:
Sponsors for meals are a huge need for the firefighters – either donations of cash or meals served to the fire fighters. Those interested in donating supplies or funds should contact Tammy Brown at the Waycross-Ware Chamber of Commerce (912-614-7810).
