As the economy continues to limp along, states must focus on their ability to maintain sufficient and predictable revenues as well as a healthy lending environment. These are the areas of focus for the Chamber’s tax and banking forum this year. Highlighted speakers include Economist Dr. Roger Tutterow, Department of Revenue Commissioner Doug MacGinnitie, Department of Banking and Finance Commissioner Robert Braswell and other business and government leaders discussing ways in which Georgia can improve its economic competitiveness. The closing keynote speaker is Chairman Tom Price, House Republican Policy Committee who will share her insights on the pressing fiscal issues facing Congress and the nation with expiring tax cuts, budget sequestration and the “fiscal cliff.”
