“America's greatness was built upon the many freedoms we are blessed to enjoy every day. But liberty does not come free. Its cost is one of constant vigilance, duty, and sacrifice by the brave men and women serving our nation in the Armed Forces. For nearly 250 years, our servicemen and women have spent their lives enduring the hardships of war and defending our homeland, with many sacrificing their lives in the line of duty. Their dedication has allowed America to serve as a beacon of hope and peace around the world.”
“Today, on Veteran's Day let us all take a moment to honor the true American heroes that place their lives on the line for not only their loved ones, but complete strangers they will never meet. Their selfless devotion to service inspires us all and embodies the virtues that make America the greatest country in the world. From the soldiers on the front lines of battle to the reservists and National Guard here at home, may we all continue to support their mission. Today - and every day - let us thank them for the price they pay to keep us and our nation safe.”
