GBAN Call to Action: Tell your State Senator to vote NO on the SB 350 Floor Amendment and support Private Property Rights in Georgia
Thursday, February 23, 2012
As early as this week, legislation could be introduced in the State Senate that would deny a private business owner's right to determine whether or not they want to allow guns on their property. The Georgia Chamber believes that this should be a private property owner’s choice – not a decision mandated by state government.
Our organization fully supports the second amendment. However, it is important to keep in mind that the right to bear arms is not a universal right – it is one that is properly balanced with public safety and private property concerns. The Georgia Chamber has and will continue to support the rights of business owners to determine the environment in which they want to operate.
Please contact your State Senator TODAY and ask them to vote NO on the floor amendment to SB350 so that business owners across the state are not denied their rights with regard to private property.
