Diversity & Inclusion Council Q2 Meeting

This council is responsible for developing strategies to guide engagement and outreach initiatives that have a direct impact on diversifying investors, sponsors, event attendees, as well as local chamber outreach. This council is also designed to explore diversity of race, sex, geographic location, age and industry when developing strategies. In 2018, this council helped spearhead the first Georgia Chamber Diversity & Inclusion Summit. This event was a great success and this council will focus on growing this now yearly event.

In 2019, the council plans to focus on: Increasing the number of Chamber investors who are female business owners, nontradi­tional businesses, diverse in race, sex, age and geographic location; Providing guidance to ensure diversity and inclusion strategies are part of the Georgia Chamber’s mission; Developing diversity engagement toolkits/guides for local chambers and partners; Planning the 2019 Diversity & Inclusion Summit.
