Co-sponsored by Georgia Justice Project (GJP) and the Georgia Chamber of Commerce

Georgia Justice Project, in partnership with the Georgia Chamber, is hosting a virtual conversation to take an in-depth look at Second Chance Hiring on Friday, December 3rd.  We will summarize liability protections in Georgia for employers who engage in Second Chance Hiring, Georgia’s new expungement law, offer practical tips and guidance, and hear from Georgia employers who have successfully implemented Second Chance Hiring policies and those looking to take the next step.

This event is a continuation of discussions held at previous events hosted by GJP and the Georgia Chamber.   In August, GJP and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta collaborated on an event to present the business case for Second Chance Hiring – that it benefits both individuals who seek employment and economic opportunity, as well as companies who need to expand their talent pool and want to advance racial equity in hiring.  In response to inquiries for more information, GJP compiled this Employer Resource List.  Also in August, the Georgia Chamber hosted a one-day conference called Transforming Talent: Addressing Georgia’s Current & Growing Labor Shortage.  Second Chance Hiring was a topic repeatedly highlighted by participants as one solution to this challenging issue.

Please register here to join us on Friday, December 3rd at 8:30 AM for a virtual event to learn more about these issues.
