For employers, completing the Form I-9, the Employment Eligibility Verification Form, is a routine part of the on boarding process. Completing this two-page form may not seem so difficult, but has your company ever done an internal audit to see how many violations you might find per I-9 form?  The average number of violations that an Immigration & Customs Enforcement officer sees during an audit will blow you away.

The new version of the Form I-9, which went into effect January 22, 2017, contains many changes, and it now provides 15 pages of instructions. Join Yane P. McKenzie, Associate at Troutman Sanders LLP, on April 18 as she discusses those key changes and provides practical tips on completing the new Form I-9 so employers can minimize the number of technical and substantive I-9 violations per form.

Also, with the new administration in the White House, changes are anticipated with regard to the enforcement of I-9 and E-Verify compliance. How does this impact employers? Will this administration increase the number of I-9 audits? What companies or industries might be at risk? This webinar will attempt to address such questions based on the information currently available.
