It’s that time of year again: Super Bowl pools and March Madness brackets abound and many employees are joining in. Though it may seem like harmless fun, employers should be mindful of the legal and practical implications of these and other types of gambling in the workplace.

Join this informative webinar for an overview of the various state and federal laws implicated when employees gamble at work, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Interstate Wire Act, and for insights into what employers may want to consider when developing and implementing company policies.

The presenter will also address the impact of sports betting legalization that has occurred in nearly 20 states following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Murphy v. NCAA, which struck down the federal prohibition on sports wagering.

Other topics will include the legality of office pools, gambling and employee theft, and the potential risks to employers.

Presented by: employment law attorney Steven Silver

When: March 25, 2020 12:00pm CST

Cost: Registration is regularly priced at $10 but because you are a member of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, it’s free to you!
