On May 18, 2016, The US Department of Labor unveiled the new standards of its overtime rule, impacting exceptions under the Fair Labor Standards Act and its regulations. As anticipated, it has raised the minimum annual salary threshold for salaried employees from $455 to $913 per week, or $47,476 annually. This momentous ruling will affect thousands of Georgians.
