When it comes to sexual harassment claims, employers must make difficult and time-sensitive decisions, sometimes with “bet-the-company” consequences.  Join Sarah Lamar, Vice Chair of the Chamber’s HR Council and employment law partner with the Savannah-based law firm of HunterMaclean, to discuss how employees and employers are addressing harassment claims in the era of the #MeToo movement.

We will review the new challenges faced by employers in responding to harassment claims and explore topics such as:
-Maintaining the integrity of an investigation
-The role of social media in framing complaints and the employer’s findings
-The need for proactive training of managers and other employees
-Other measures to prevent or minimize harassment in the workplace

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear what a practitioner on the “front lines” has to say about this issue which is important to all employers regardless of size or industry.
