Just like that, our Georgia 2030 2.0 statewide tour is finished – for now, at least! With the outstanding support of our sponsors and your communities, the Chamber team has successfully completed phase two of our Georgia 2030 initiative with 14 tour stops in two months. We’ve traveled to every corner of the state to spread the news of our research for what we anticipate Georgia will look like in 2030.

Innovation, job creation, diversity, rural prosperity, and health and wellness are major themes we’ve shared with more than 300 stakeholders across the state.  We’ve laid out some hard truths backed by data, and learned from industry leaders on how they’re preparing for a robust and innovative economy.

Whether it’s facing the tough challenges of demographic changes in rural Georgia, or the reality of a rapidly expanding metro-Atlanta region, Georgia 2030 2.0 focused on how we can all work together to make solutions possible. Rural communities across Georgia must be focused on the creation, attraction, and retention of talent in their workforce. Urban and suburban regions need to think decades in the future on transportation and infrastructure so that our state’s economy can continue to compete on a global stage.

Now it’s time to roll up our sleeves and get back to work — 2030 will be here before we know it! We’ll be working right alongside you every step of the way, so do us a favor and stay tuned for next year’s statewide tours. Also, don’t forget to view our photo highlights!
