Hyundai Motor Group Charts New Era for Georgia with Plant Announcement

Vehicle manufacturer to open second location with investment, creating thousands of jobs

Atlanta, GA – May 20, 2022 – Governor Brian Kemp today announced that the Hyundai Motor Group, with an already established presence in Georgia, is investing in a second vehicle assembly plant. Located within the Savannah Harbor-Interstate 16 Corridor Joint Development Authority which includes Bryan, Bulloch, Chatham and Effingham counties, the new electric vehicle plant will represent the largest economic development project in the state’s history.

At time of this release the exact vehicles slated to be built at the new facility are yet to be announced.
