Cyber Georgia @ Augusta University Starts Tomorrow

Starting tomorrow, the nation’s foremost authorities in Cyber Security will convene at Augusta University for Cyber Georgia. This premiere event will bring together government, academia and industry experts to provide intelligence and the latest updates on how to improve cybersecurity, education and research.

The two-day conference will zero in on examining cyber threats in the health care industry and better preparing for cyberattacks in the hospital and public health arena. The overall goal is to provide attendees with a positive learning experience that they can incorporate into their work and personal lives.

“We are very excited to co-host this year’s program for the second year in a row,” said Georgia Chamber President and CEO Chris Clark. “Today, cybersecurity is a major concern for individuals and businesses of all sizes. Cyber Georgia will provide real solutions for cyber threats that we experience on a day-to-day basis.”

Lt. Gen. Paul M. Nakasone, the commanding general of the U.S. Army Cyber Command, and Lt. Gen. Vincent R. Stewart, the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency and the commander of the Joint Functional Component Command for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, will deliver this year’s keynote.

The summit will also feature:

  • Dr. Gretchen Caughman, Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost at Augusta University
  • Honorable Hardie Davis, Mayor of Augusta, Georgia
  • Keenan Skelly, Vice President of Global Partnerships and Security Evangelist
  • Charles Johnson, CEO of EDTS, LLC and EDTS Cyber, LLC
