Scorecard Alert House Bill 192, sponsored by Rep. Beth Beskin (R – Atlanta) and carried by Senator John Kennedy (R – Macon), passed the Senate on Friday by a vote of 41-10. We thank the bill sponsors and members of the General Assembly for their hard work to pass HB 192 and keep Georgia the top state for business. Governor Perdue Confirmation Hearing Last Thursday, Governor Perdue answered questions from the Senate Agriculture Committee on his way to becoming the nation’s next Secretary of Agriculture. You can view the hearing, here, and read the AJC’s rundown of what took place. Political Engagement Early voting starts today for the open 6th Congressional District seat to replace Secretary Tom Price, and for the open State Senate District 32 seat.
