Endorsement
The Georgia Chamber of Commerce announces its endorsement of Representative Mack Jackson for State House District 128, which includes all or portions of Glascock, Hancock, Jefferson, Johnson, McDuffie, Warren, and Washington Counties. Each election cycle, the Chamber’s Political Affairs Council vets dozens of candidates for office. After working through the endorsement process, business leaders from across the state are confident that Rep. Jackson will continue to make effective policy decisions that positively impact free enterprise and job creation throughout the state.
“The Georgia Chamber of Commerce and our statewide membership appreciate the longstanding working relationship with Rep. Jackson, and we know there is a clear choice in who will champion economic development opportunities for East Georgia” said David Raynor, Georgia Chamber Chief Public Affairs Officer. “The Georgia Chamber is proud to endorse pro-business candidates like Mack Jackson and looks forward to our continued partnership.”
Rep. Mack Jackson added, “It has been an honor to work with the Georgia Chamber. Georgia has been named the number one state in which to do business for seven years, which is a testament to the strong partnership between the legislature and the business community. I have served the people of District 128 in the Georgia General Assembly for twelve years. I have had the opportunity to work on some important legislation that has benefited the State of Georgia as well as the district. In 2014, I was named A Champion of Georgia's Cities by Georgia Municipal Association. In 2017 I was selected by Speaker of the House David Ralston to serve on the House Rural Development Council. Thank you to the constituents of House District 128 for your confidence in me to allow me to serve.”
The Georgia Primary Election will take place Tuesday, June 9, 2020. The Georgia Chamber is a nonpartisan organization that is dedicated to working with elected officials to ensure a future of economic growth for Georgia businesses, workers and families.
