Statement

The strength of Georgia’s economy has long depended on a judicial system that is fair, impartial, and grounded in the rule of law, not politics. Increasingly, however, we are seeing a level of politicization in our courts that risks undermining public confidence and eroding the predictability businesses rely on to invest and grow.

As voters participate in the upcoming judicial elections across Georgia, it is critical that these races remain focused on qualifications, integrity, and a commitment to the rule of law, not partisan politics. That is why the Georgia Chamber has endorsed Sarah Hawkins Warren and Charlie J. Bethel for the Supreme Court, and Trenton Brown III and Elizabeth Gobeil for the Court of Appeals, each committed to upholding the law as written, not a partisan agenda.

When judicial decisions are perceived as political, it creates uncertainty that can ripple across our legal and economic systems. Georgia has built its reputation as the best state for business by fostering stability and trust in our institutions, and our judiciary must remain above political influence to preserve that standing.
