Taylor Walden is the Project Manager for the Rural Georgia Initiatives at the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD). The division’s mission, led by Deputy Commissioner Amy Carter, is to help rural Georgia communities become more competitive for economic development projects and identify new strategies for attracting jobs and investment.

Prior to his role at the Department of Economic Development, Walden worked for 82nd Governor of Georgia, Nathan Deal acting as constituent liaison for the Department of Corrections, the Board of Pardons and Paroles, the Department of Veteran Services, the Georgia Ports Authority, and with local government issues.

Walden is from Adel, Georgia and received a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and Political Science from the University of Georgia.
