Join us on October 16, 2018, from 1:00 – 1:30 pm as we hear from Kade Cullefer, Executive Director of Georgians for Lawsuit Reform, and Cosby Johnson, Government Affairs Director at the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, on three important Amendments that will be on the ballot this November.

The first Amendment we’ll discuss is the Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Act, also referred to as GOSA. The GOSA calls for a referendum on a constitutional amendment that would dedicate a portion of existing state sales and use tax on outdoor recreation equipment to establish a new conservation trust fund.

The second Amendment is a statewide business court, which will promote faster and more cost efficient resolution of complex business to business cases, and will make Georgia a more attractive and competitive state. Business courts offer the distinct advantages of a specialized court: certainty and predictability of outcomes, efficient dispute resolution, consistent case management, and lower costs.

The third Amendment is the Fair Forest Tax, which would establish a new class of land that is assessed at fair market value as determined by the Department of Revenue rather than the tremendous variability private landowners currently deal with across 159 counties. Accuracy in valuations is of critical importance to timberland owners.

This FREE webinar will give a greater overview of all three Amendments and why you’re encouraged to vote YES come November 6, 2018.
