Georgia Chamber Applauds Supreme Court Ruling for Equality
Federal Law now prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation

In an unprecedented ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court, federal law now prohibits discrimination of employees based on sexual orientation. Gay, lesbian and transgender individuals can celebrate equal rights in the workplace.

“The Georgia Chamber stands in support of today’s historic Supreme Court ruling, because we believe that discrimination in any form has no place in our society,” said Chris Clark, President & CEO of the Georgia Chamber. “We will continue to support the values of freedom and equality at the local, state and federal levels and are thankful for this national commitment to equality for all.”

As the Chamber continues to push forward on the issues of equality and social justice, hate crimes legislation stands paramount to success.
