Georgia Chamber Issues Statement on SK Innovation Announcement

Atlanta, Ga – April 12 – The Georgia Chamber is pleased that SK Innovation and LG Energy Solutions have reached an agreement that allows SK Innovation to continue its multi-billion-dollar manufacturing project in Jackson County, Georgia. This investment into our state will result in over 2,600 jobs while growing secondary and tertiary markets across the region.

We deeply appreciate the bipartisan leadership of Governor Kemp and his economic development team, U.S. Senators Warnock and Ossoff, our Congressional Delegation, members of the Georgia General Assembly, and local business leaders who worked diligently to make this project a reality. The continued unprecedented collaboration between public and private sectors in Georgia reaffirms our state’s reputation for being the best state in which to do business.
